Privacy Policy

Overview

MyChordSheet ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Ed Trussell. We built this service to help musicians create and manage chord charts. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and we never will.

What we collect

• Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this to create and identify your account.
• Chord chart data — The songs, lyrics, and chord arrangements you create are stored in your account so you can access them across devices.
• Payment information — If you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive a subscription status and customer ID from Stripe to manage your access.
• Usage data — Basic logs (errors, function calls) collected automatically by Google Firebase to keep the service running reliably. We do not use third-party analytics or ad tracking.

How we use your data

• To provide and maintain the service
• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To respond to support requests you send us
• To send transactional emails (e.g. payment receipts) — we do not send marketing emails

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate MyChordSheet. Each has their own privacy policy.

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• EmailJS — contact form delivery

Data retention & deletion

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@mychordsheet.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. If you are located in the EU or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@mychordsheet.app.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
